Reduce losses after harvesting and improve the quality, safety and competitiveness of fresh gardening products. Our goals:

Be the leading source of scientifically based information on the quality, safety and marketability of fresh horticultural products for the value chain of products.
Effectively communicate information and knowledge about postharvest technology, which improves the quality, safety and competitiveness of fresh horticultural products.
Catalyze innovative and expanded cooperation between members of the center, industry, government and other academic institutions at the national and international levels.
Be financially self-sufficient.

Thanks to research and the expansion of research conducted in 11 universities, we aim to provide relevant information to Californian manufacturers, shippers, marketers, carriers, distributors, retailers, processors and consumers of fresh garden crops.
